JGEs Family Forecast Feb 5-9

Hello JGES Families,
Two important topics for this week: Snow and more on African Heritage Month.
We are working through the snow clearing. The back of the school was buried in snow.  It was fun at recess and lunch.  However, we weren’t able to use the Grade 4-6 entrance/exit. This was fixed Tuesday overnight by our contractors.  Special thanks to Mr. Trider, our caretaker, for digging us out.  We ask that parents and students take care due to the large sound mounds and drifts.
The 2024 African Heritage Month theme is Our Smiles, Our Joy, Our Resilience as African Nova Scotians.   We have a morning question on the announcements and classes submit their answers.  All the ballots will give them a chance to win a class pizza party.  We have Dr. Henry Bishop coming in to do sessions with all our classes and take part in our assembly later in February.   Take care everyone,
  Mr. Fry
